Philosophy

Entrusted into our hands are unique beings, not one the same. They are the result of a certain life-style, of experiences, of an environment in which they were born and raised. Influenced by everyday life and by all that surrounds them. Not one indifferent to nature, though - how could that be possible in surroundings such as these?
Based on a philosophy of health and organic “wellness”, by means of touch and contact we try to personalise the treatments according to the necessities of each individual after prior diagnosis. We endeavour to use the aromatic and medicinal herbs planted around the Spa – fruits that are born from the trees of the Quinta, in conjunction with products by brand names such as the French “Matis” and the Italian “Bioline” which are renowned for their quality.
And water – this element, typically characteristic and fundamental in authentic Spas, features strongly in our programmes as an essential complement to the chosen therapy.

Peelings

Green Tea (30 min.) – Green Tea mixed with clay and algae for an anti-oxidant, capable of awakening all the sleeping epidermis. Suitable for all types of skin, even the most sensitive. Price: 40.00 €

Hibiscus Flowers (30 min.) – Hibiscus flowers are as fragile as they are beautiful, having a lifespan of around one day. This peeling, therefore, is recommended for all types of skin, with the exception of the most sensitive. Once a toning exfoliation is done, even the roughest and most wrinkled epidermis will be exhilarated. Price: 40.00 €

Orange (30 min.) – Made from the peel of this fruit and from calcareous algae the effect of exfoliation is assured, leaving the skin soft and clean whilst at the same time pampering it with pieces of orange peel. This peeling is highly concentrated in vitamins A, C and PP, which prevent coetaneous aging. Suitable for all types of skin, even the most sensitive. Price: 45.00 €

Cocoa (90 min.) - The use of chocolate for human beings began in 900 A.D. Amongst its properties, the
combat of stress is highlighted, through the stimulation and liberation of calming substances by the brain. Thanks to the addition of caffeine extract that reduces the specific areas of fat and improves the tonicity, this technique also proportions the burning of pinpointed fat with an anti-cellulite effect. The cocoa in its purest form has stimulating properties that release large doses of positive energy. Black mud from Britain (90 min.) – this wrap promises to harmonise the lymphatic system, responsible for the detoxification of the organism, removing all the residues of cellular activity and recycling of the immune system. Modulation with Algae and Green Tea (60 min.) – the seaweed helps to re-establish iron reserves and is a wonderful fountain of the principal minerals such as iodine, potassium, calcium, magnesium and zinc. Massages

Reaffirming/Tonifying Massage (40 to 70 min.) - relax and let your body be moulded by our therapist. A “peeling” is applied, after which the body is enveloped in a specific reducing mask that is followed by a massage with reaffirming or invigorating cream. This finishes with a fresh sensation, after the application of a reaffirming or invigorating lotion. Price: 50.00€

Anti-Cellulite/Reducer Massage (40 to 60 min.) – used in body treatments for cellulite and adiposity (fat found in the adipose tissue). By means of touch, the therapist can verify the difference of temperature and the presence of small or large nodules, which enables a diagnosis of the type and state of the cellulite implantation. The anti-cellulite massage is a vigorous massage that, together with anti-cellulite creams, is capable of stimulating the lymphatic and venous circulation, removing liquids accumulated and emulsifying the fat for a reduction in the diameter. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (30 to 60 min.) - this is a therapeutic method that sees the rise in the capacity of lymph management and the improvement of certain functions of the lymphatic system. Sportive or Swedish Massage (40 min.) - it is used a little all over the world. It combines various techniques such as the “cutiladas”, a deep massage to the muscles, ball bearings, and vibration. Therapeutic (40 to 60 min.) – allows the therapist to attack the deepest tissues in cases where there may exist tension and chronic contractures. Champi (30 min.) – signifies a head massage. Partially integrated in the philosophy of “Ayurveda”, it has been practised in India over thousands of years, becoming an important part of daily life of the people and being administered in various locations. Water

Bath time makes up one of the more agreeable moments of the day. Hot taps (37 and 39 degrees), are perfect to ease tension, lesson and eliminate certain pains, distributing oxygen with maximum efficiency to all the cells. Tepid baths (29 and 30 degrees) are excellent to sooth and relax at any time of the day, sending stress and fatigue far away. Cold baths allow the improvement of the defences against illness. One can osculate between hot and cold baths in a subtle manner that is fantastic for enriching the skin.

Vichy Shower
Also know as “shower of rain”, the Vichy Shower consists of a soft hydro-massage on the body, complemented with a hand massage that produces a calming effect. This may also be taken in conjunction with a body “peeling”

Tropical Shower
Chromo-therapy system with 2 light bulbs: circuit osculating between red and white, at the same time as your body is bathed in the natural light of day. Make the most of the sensory aromas and imagine yourself in a forest, under tropical rain.

Jacuzzi
This may be used by a maximum of two people at a time, enjoying a view over the swimming pool and gardens. Salts may be added that heighten the sensation of comfort and wellbeing, putting at your disposal different programmes with various types of jets. Used as a complement to some treatments.

Swiss Shower
This bath is taken in open air, in full contact with nature and consists of a system of 8 vertical jets that constantly alternates their temperature. At the same time that your body is being vitalised by this bath, essential therapeutic aromas are released to ensure maximum relaxation. In addition, you can choose to add the experience of the Tropical Shower.

Hammam
The word means, “to spread heat”. This is sort of a Turkish bath, originating from the Greek-Roman terms that stimulate the circulation, allowing a deep detoxification and cleansing of the skin. Indoor Swimming Pool

Relaxation Session Watsu or Water Shiatsu (25 min.) – a deeply relaxing hydrotherapy technique created in California by Harold Dull in 1980. Watsu uses the levity of the body in water to liberate the vertebrae in the spine, mobilising joints and gently stretching the muscles; contrary to the way they are used on land.
