Indoor PoolHoused in the original building of the Estalagem, where the former outdoor pool was situated, we now provide our visitors with a very special location: - an indoor swimming pool, uniquely framed and surrounded by leafy vegetation, with superb views over the mountains that encircle the city of Funchal.  The GymnasiumThe gymnasium at the Quintinha de São João has been through a complete reconstruction and is now equipped with the most up-to-date apparatus and offers, subject to advance booking, a fully qualified personal trainer to accompany your sessions.  The Games RoomFor those looking for a more active holiday, the Quintinha de São João also offers a games room equipped with a snooker table, table tennis, and two tables upon which to play chess, draughts or cards.  Niches, Nooks and CranniesReading is one of those enduring activities for those on holiday and needs to be relished in moments of relaxation with total tranquillity. A hallmark of the Estalagem Quintinha de São João, is the “niches” which are to be found everywhere. Being small, comfortable and inviting, the outside world becomes insignificant. Carefully decorated with antique furniture from times gone by and beautiful pieces of Portuguese porcelain, the “niches” give us the sensation that we really are at home. Courtesy Bus Even though the Quintinha is close to all the facilities in Funchal, we are pleased to offer a Courtesy Bus twice daily to the centre.
WIFI Taking into account the importance of the Internet to our guests, we are pleased to offer WIFI facilities in our rooms and public areas for a token fee of 3€ per hour.
